"My first interaction with the CMU Catholic Newman Club was when a priest (our beloved Fr. Thomas) was tabled in the center of campus answering questions, while club members were handing out Rita’s Shaved Ice. Silly ol’ me spent most of the event too nervous to introduce myself or ask questions. But as the event wrapped up and I was about to leave, everyone quickly came over to introduce themselves and to get to know me. Little did I know, this was exactly what the club was all about: enthusiastically loving everyone and creating a welcoming environment where students could grow together in communion with one another and with God."
